Upcoming Parent Meetings

Parent Meetings provide the opportunity for you to give input about club operations and your experience with Emerald City to members of the Coaching Administrative Staff and the Board. It is a valuable listening exercise for those who govern the club and an invaluable chance for you to make your voices heard. Your feedback is very important and we rely on it to make improvements to the club. Not all clubs offer this opportunity, so please take the time to attend your team Parent Meeting.

Parent Meetings will be held at the ECFC offices at the Sandpoint Educational Center. The meetings are generally 45 minutes in duration. For a complete schedule, click here:

Fundraising

This year we are proud to have committed over $55,000 in full and partial financial aid awards, allowing many players and families who otherwise would be unable to do so to be part of the ECFC experience. Due to the soft economy, we anticipate another $10,000 will be needed to help families get through the tough times and remain a part of ECFC. The fundraisers have been designed so that EVERY family can participate at some level: from the simple purchase of a Brown Bear car wash ticket at a mere $7.00, to a more-involved commitment of monthly artisan coffee purchases, to an extraordinary opportunity to get a glimpse into the Chihuly Hot Shop.  As we enter the season of giving and sharing, please share a little of what you have to give our players benefits that last a lifetime. Please visit our website  http://emeraldcityfc.org for more information and to choose a fundraiser that’s right for you.

College Program

On Wednesday December 2nd from 7pm to 8pm at the Sandpoint Education Center, Emerald City will be hosting the second in a series of College Seminars. Paula Bishop, a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified College Planning Specialist, will be giving a presentation titled "Paying for College without Going Broke." This is a great opportunity to get your questions answered about funding your child's education. For more information please visit http://emeraldcityfc.org/college.html.

December Training

We are pleased to announce our second annual Optional Training Program. Beginning November 30th, all players can choose to participate in a "play days" environment and/or participate in specific core training twice a week until December 17th. Players may also opt to take this time off to rest or do other activities. An exception will be our high school age girls who will have a regular training program with their club coaches at this time. An activity schedule will be available soon.
